Is there any M&R owners that use this flash from BBC http://www.bbcind.com/autoflashdryer.aspx (http://www.bbcind.com/autoflashdryer.aspx) . Would appreciate your comments.

It mounts similar to the m/r reno flash. BBC makes excellent manual flashes and i am sure that flash is a quality product and will work really good.

Didn't want to start a new thread for this. Just checking on who, if anyone has one and how has it been?

...I use one on my DiamondBack, it works fine. It clamps down to the bars that hold the squeegees and floods. I also had to change the plug at the end, but no big deal. Actually I did have to mod it a hair to keep it from sagging, but nothing extreme. Any specific question?

I guess I just need to see it operate. How do you keep the choppers from chopping while its clamped in? That may be a dumb question that im not thinking thru enough

We use one on our dback, when you tell the press that the head is a flash then it knows not to chop. Works pretty good, wish I had a quartz though

Tance, what year is your DB? I thought you had to adjust the choppers all the way down to keep it from chopping?
BTW, Kevin, the "all choppers chopping" is a DB-only issue. You should be fine on a Gauntlet.

Ah well that explains the flash switches on the control panel!

We've been running one for a couple years.
Just a 0-100 'power' control, no actual thermostat or temp readout--may be a deal breaker if you do fancy stuff a lot.
Only other issue I've had is having to beat it up to adjust the height/level--it seems like the paint wants to stick after it heats up and cools down a few hundred times.
When I've flipped the head on, the choppers make it tilt up or down a bit, but barely change how it sits. The way the air is plumbed, one set is always up and one is always down anyway, unless you have a rather unorthodox Gauntlet, and the (sticky paint) adjustment is there to compensate for however it sits on your press.
Considering the prices, I'd have to have a very good reason to buy a fancier flash after running this one. I have to admit, occasionally I miss the old Omni style with a real thermostat (mostly with fleece, or blends) but it does a great job for the money.

can these be put on a stand?
