Title: What's the 'finest' inkjet film you can buy?
Post by: ZooCity on November 02, 2015, 04:35:25 PM
I'd like to supplement the cheaper film we use for day to day with a very high end film.  Going to look at Accuart3 since we use Chromaline ink but what else is out there?  It seems like most of what's available is in a similar category.

Since this would be used on maybe 10-25% of our jobs the film cost isn't a deterrent for me.  Highest resolution and lowest dmin would be worth it for certain jobs.

Interesting for me to be the first to toss something out.

I have really liked Fixxons.  Not sure if its the 'finest' but it's fairly thick and takes a nice inkjet ink from my HP9800.

Yea I know, got a used 3000 and an unopened 1400, but I still kinda like the 9800.

I would think that one criteria to be absolute high-end top-of-the-line would be the low d-min that Zoo mentioned, which leaves out virtually all of the "water resistant" coatings we use (like Fixxons which I just ordered again)
