I am talking to a friend about buying his Flash but I have recently found out it requires 3 phase. Can it be changed to single phase or anyone know my options? My building does not have 3 phase.

You can convert them to single phase, any electrician should be able to do it for you safely. You just then pull a higher amp draw...with thicker gauge wiring back to your box.

Can be done but highly not recommended.

What about using a 3 Phase Converter. Is that an option as far as safety and power usage?

you would still be pulling an eXtremely high amount of amperage to an inverter. No matter how you try it this is not a good idea.
