Title: What`s this type of application called

Not even sure if it is at all related to embroidery, so beware I might get my arse slapped and the topic moved to a different location. Anyway so I got a client who wants the following done. See attached picture. Now I have no clue what the right term for this is and where to get it done.

I think it is called Applique.
