Guys...I have a customer who embroiders on vehicle floor mats, he has asked me if we could do custom screening on them. My question is can and should I pursue this. Then HOW.
-
Sounds like the calls I get that I respond, "I don't know, I'd have to see the pieces first."
Are they smooth enough? Will they be printed like shirts or flat stock?
Can they handle the heat required to cure plastisol and waterbase fabric inks or will they require an air dry or catalyzed ink?

Frog...Thanks, thats why I put it to see if anyone has any experience on printing on floor mats...

Hi There,
you can certainly shoot an email to InkAnswers@Nazdar.com to see if they have any suggestions. I would provide them with the material type as this will help with the curing portion.
Hope this helps! Good luck!

It's possible, there was a guy around here selling his business that did just that. My guess would be a fairly coarse mesh with low cure inks.
It something that's worth a shot if there is money to be made. We just printed sleep masks the other day. They were foam filled and not uniform in thickness, that being said they turned out good and the customer liked them.

Before our building got flooded we had a runner carpet from the doors to the counter pretty long run and I took a screen and printed our logo down the carpet with water base all the way down it.

Thanks 3, RTR

Sublimated mats with breed-specific images are a big thing with the pet crowd
