Title: newman mesh clips
Post by: jvanick on January 11, 2016, 02:01:12 PM: we need to stretch some bolt-mesh this week, and I can't find the fabric positioning clips for our newman frames around...

I seem to remember someone saying that it as basically just a repurposed fuse holder clip? Anybody know the size or a mcmaster-carr number so i can order some up?

Post by: IntegrityShirts on January 11, 2016, 02:16:17 PM: Yeah that was me that was getting slammed for using pallet strapping plastic instead of newman mesh strips. Here's the fuse holders I ordered and use when I stretch mesh. They work great.

Post by: jsheridan on January 11, 2016, 06:30:00 PM: When they come in, make sure to file down any burs and sand all edges that contact the mesh. If you have a rock tumbler, toss em in for a day.

Did the pallet strappings work well in the end? I`m in urgent need of some lockin strips but would have to order them abroad. Pallet strapping s I can get hold of locally.

Post by: SI on January 15, 2016, 07:35:45 PM: I found those clips somewhere online recently and they were a lot more than $6. Wish I would have seen this post before I dropped a ton of money on the Authentic ones
