I've been using the old wire hanger/jumbo folder setup for my 13x19 film, but I just purchased a used 4900 and am moving to 17" film.
Curious how you guys are storing 17" film. I've thought about just using larger jumbo envelopes, but then we would just have a big ole stack of em.

xray folders - typically we get them from ebay or amazon

Flat in stacks in large literature type racks we built. But we purge frequently. We have four backup files, and since the vast majority never do a re-order, senseless to keep adding to the pile. We get the envelopes from uline and reuse them when we purge.
Cts guys have no films, but good data backup really makes storage kinda outdated for vast majority of your films.
Just my opinion.

Here's where we store ours.

Yea yea yea! One day I'll have your fancy DTS.

Just a thought- use a 14" roll. We always printed on 14" film, had 17" rolls but only switched when it was a large print. Mainly because 17" was a bitch to store.

Made these out of screen frames. They roll out of the way under our work table.
