I've been looking and trolling some sites and very interested in seeing an 85 lpi and above halftone film screen, I know some of you have printed with these before and use 305 and above screens. I tried awhile back and my halftone screen dam near look solid, so I know if I even tried to print with it it would turn to a solid print in a heartbeat, if you have some film laying around would you post it up here.

85lpi on 305? Wouldn't you need either 355 or higher to hold the dots?
I do 55-65lpi on 305 no problem.
Curious. Plus I would love to 85 lpi films posted also.

Shane maybe, (355 mesh) I don't know that's why I'm asking

I am thinking in the 400's for 85, could be wrong.

85lpi on a 225S mesh screen on our epson-based I-Image.
edit: uploaded the actual file so you can zoom in on it...

In my previous life... CMYK heat transfers... we used 82 lpi on 355's with incredible results. This was with image setter film though and I have always questioned whether inkjet fill could even come close.

Was that a one stroke print?

We printed a 7 color sim process at 85 by mistake about 10 years ago, on 355's, came out very weil, it was reordered 4 times. We usually are happy at 50 lpi...
