I have a few shirts that had a tape rip on press and have a small ink spot. These are the j america zen fleece and thermals which are acid washed. Zim gun=fail on these. Anyone have any tricks to share on them?

Never mind. I got it figured out. Cut a mask out of clean up card to help if anyone runs into this in the future.

I'm a little confused. If the problem was that the dye would blow out (like with some garment dyed shirts), then it would still blow out within the masked area.
So, what made it a fail initially?
btw, an eraser shield makes a great mask for this.

It was blowing out the dyes in a large circle before. This just gave a little spot that blended in with the acid washed pattern.
Great tip on the eraser sheild!

;D Okay, so you got a lucky benefit with uneven color dying similar to what we get with distressed prints covering for small printing defects.

Yep, thank goodness!
