After having success with 60lpi and 22.5 angle with elliptical dot I would like to modify the ppd. I have found the file on the mac after turning on the hidden files. I modified it in text edit but it will only save a plain text document and not the generic document like the original. Anyone know how to save my modified ppd so it will work?

Textmate (free) will let you save files with the original extension.
Or. In finder, turn on the display of extensions for known file types, then rename the new file without the .txt extension

Try saving as a new name and then opening it in the printer dialog.

Its bothering me that youre not seeing the .rtf or .txt extensions.
See if you can uncheck the hide extensions button.

I downloaded your freebie program and it saved it in the correct way. Now we dont have to retype the lpi angle and dot shape everytime.
Thanks,
