Title: I got thermochromic powder, how do I use it to dye a shirt?

I contacted a company that is trying to sell me their stuff for a lot more money than this powder I purchased. They don't know the binder/slurry or whatever it's called to mix the powder into.

What do they know about the powder they sold you? Seriously, what did they say it is, and how is it usually used?

Let me start before day gets too hectic...............THIS IS PIGMENT NOT DYE!!!!! YOU DON'T USE BINDERS OR SLURRYS TO DYE SHIRTS. Apologize in advance for the foul mood but this is a waste of time/money/energy

They replied with

We do not have any knowledge of that product. I'm sorry to say we are not able to assist you with that.

Bummer. These are the guys I first came across more than 40 years ago in Berkeley, who, among other things, had it going on with the cool, vibrant Procion dyes for Tie Dyeing. They are the dye experts. You sir, have your work cut out for you.
