Title: Which white for transfers?
Post by: Maxie on February 29, 2016, 04:20:48 AM
Which are the best whites for printing transfers, we print mostly numbers for dri fit shirts.
We have in stock Wilflex X treme and Bright TIger and Union Diamond.
None of these mention transfer in the data sheet.
We can get Wilflex, Rutland and Union easily from local suppliers.

For white transfer I prefer water based, brighter white, very soft surface, and stronger to wash cycle.

If I take plastisol where no mention of transfer in the data sheet, I add 20% very very fine powder (0 - 80micron) in it, and still add heavier powder before curing (80-200 micron).

On dri fit, you may need an underbase grey or sublimation block, as LB ink could not be enought.

I got it from a belgium supplier, it is rebranded and called aquatex opaque white, so I don't know the manufacturer name.

Before I used UNICO OP extra white, but this company closed last year.
