I should play Midnight Star all day here in the shop.  Rubber mat, check.  Rubber soled shoes, check.  Rubber apron, check.  Massive shock everytime I touch the platen when loading, check. >:(

try lightly spraying the floors with a 10% fabric softener, 10% isopropyl alcohol, 80% water.

makes the floors mildly conductive and should help dissipate the static charges.

(used to use this in our electronics labs in the winter in the areas that didn't have conductive mats)

I'm going to try that, we've been getting the heck shocked out of us as well this week for some reason :o
