So I finally got around to toying with the new PC pms system from Wilflex (using the amazing base) and noticed that the base is pretty damn thick/tough.
It doesn't ever really loosen up no matter how much its mixed and warmed up, but the mixed gallons of the PMS matched stuff I got from nazdar (made with the pigments and amazing base) is just creamy and smooth as can be. Is it possible I got a couple of bad gallons of base or is that pretty normal?

Sounds like your product got hot in transit somewhere.... basically it is partially gelled.
Talk with your rep about a replacement.

I agree, our amazing base is well 'amazing' and is definitely smoother than even the standard 15000 series base.. I'd get it replaced.

Hi Lone Wolf 2,
I will make contact with you to have your lot checked and help you through the return or replacement process.
Have you tried adding PC's to this base to create color? The additional plasticizer from the PC's should make the finished ink much creamier.

Steve Hedge

We have gone through 10 or so gallons, it is just really thick until you mix in the equalizers. It's added first anyway pretty easily so we don't find it too difficult, definitely difficult to mix at first though if done by hand.
