My new G3 is blazing fast and I try and keep it running as fast as possible. Sometimes I need a pause because a stacked shirt or something else and I'm having to toggle the switch but I've heard these items can help me. Looking for pros and cons of both.
And if anyone has either of them they don't use anymore and would like to sell

no shirt sensor
a pedal causes me to change my stance and step on something, the sensor keeps me in the same position as i wait for the next board.
the sensor can also be used as a device to re-ink a few screens as you jog around the press back to the load station and pick right up with loading again.

I thought G3 came with no shirt detector?

buying a sensor will not activate the no shirt software. The shirt detector software is a license and purchasing one off the internet won't work. Just a FYI. Foot pedal will work by plugging in the proper foot pedal.

It's an option - if you aren't going to use it why get it? but I agree that it is a great device. I liked using it when I ran the CH3 we have briefly but we ran into issues with it not quite detecting each arm properly (which can be tested and adjusted but was hard to get perfect) and the bigger issue was very large hoodies getting caught on the device (pocket ripped out and ruined) which led to us not using it unfortunately.

The shirt detector is more than just the stand and sensor. There is extensive software that was written and patented. When you purchase the shirt detector option you are paying for a license to the software and a key is provided. Years ago the software was unlocked and there were suppliers selling sensors and stands for extremely high amounts making people think they were getting a deal. In reality they were paying up to 10 times the real value of the stand and no fee to M&R for the software. That was corrected with a key code on the software. Buying a used stand will not work.

NSD is a must have in my opinion, pay the price and forget about it.
Regarding the ripping of pouch pockets, over size t's etc. we actually ripped the anchored in concrete NSD stand out of the floor a couple of times before we came up with the nifty traffic cone idea. Large garments simply slide over the cone, the shirt in the picture is to throw over the NSD when doing platen warm-ups in the morning. If the NSD detects no garment the warm up will only be 1 revolution.
