take look around here. I found some great deals on some equipment. we have a back up chiller /compressor now.

Go get a decent one...we're running a Keltec.
It was around $1200 or so with shipping I think. Technically ours is undersized, but our compressor is way oversized.
see if you can talk to Jay:

The only downside is no filter before the coils, so I added one with some channel aluminum and cheap(but good) McMaster air filters.

time to buy non harbor freight ;)
Atlas, Kaiser, IR, Quincy all make good ones.

i second the atlas - we just bought a new one to replace our failing donaldson.
it was pricy, but works automagically - no buttons to mess up.
they are all similar, but the tech said to stay away from the tiny ones.

We have a 30 year old Grainger that is built like the proverbial tank, and we also run a second Quincy and they alternate. If you'd like to keep your pants clean, go with a better quality...

What to do.
Buy quality?
Harbor Freight should only be an option of you need throw away paint brushes, scraper cards or a hobby drill to give to your 12 year old.
We've had a smooth time dealing with compressorworld.com
We bought an oversized Nano 100cfm cycling dryer and it runs perfect.

Maybe if it is time to look at an all electric press...no chiller/compressor needed, no decision as to which of the above 6 recommended brands to choose or what happens if it fails. Good printing !
