I'm about to replace my VERY old poly washout station. wondering if I need to go to stainless this time because I have tons of scratches and nasty marks all over my current booth and I'm thinking the stainless would prevent that. comments?

We have CCI's stainless tank and it's been perfect for us.

I made ours out of wood, plexi and some lights. It's 16' long x 18" deep. I coated the entire thing with spray in bed liner from autozone. cost me about 200.00 and some time.

Both of mine are DIY. Mostly just 2x4's, a sheet of clear plexi for the back, and shower liner for the sides. One base is a clearance shower stall from lowe's ($50), and one was a free tub off craiglist.

If you go DIY route, I highly recommend building in a dip tank for your imaged screens, dunk the screens in water for a couple minutes, and then spray out takes seconds, and saves water.
It doesn't actually need to be built in, but it is a nice feature so you aren't splashing water all over the place. I'll try to get a photo of ours if I have a minute.

Shower and tub that I got from my folks when they remodeled their bathroom. Built legs to get it up off the ground and fit a pump under it. Works great for me.

Do you guys have a problem with water shooting out the top? They have a closed version also I'm looking at.
I just notice a ton of dripping in my booth and would hate for all of that water to be going up and out

I had one custom made.
The CCI sink looks ok but there is one thing I don't like, the side walls should go up the same height as the back and it should have a roof about half the depth of the sink, if possible sloping backwards so the water won't drip.
If you want I'll send a photograph

I'm impressed by the approach that Saati has to screen cleaning and reclamation with their flat sink. https://youtu.be/KLx19HD7I6g It doesn't look like it should work but it does.

I like the pseudo flat table idea. Still would need backlighting and doesn't really need to be that big. Non-roller frames would fly all over the place on it if you're not careful pressure washing.
I guess it would need to be that big if you didn't have a dip tank and needed to stage each chemical and have 2 or 3 people working it, but dang. Just put in a dip tank or two and save a ton of time!
