Title: Smelly Tees
Post by: printguy on June 02, 2016, 01:23:47 PM
Had a good custy come in with a couple of tees from another shop. Both were Gildans that were made in the D.R. & Honduras. They had a smell to them that could be described as sour & musty - looks like one of the prints could possibly be discharge & the other was plastisol. Any ideas? Thanks.

The smell I have gotten lately is 'vinegary". Perhaps these were merely stored in a damp area.
Is the other shop in a humid area?

try running Pennant hoodies through your dryer. made in Pakistan....they will gag a maggot.

worst we ever had was a hockey team for a really good customer. brought in all their "new" jerseys for a quick logo. didn't tell us they played in them already.

I have a story on this as well.
A couple of guys on a local cross country team thought that they could sneak in their stinky unwashed tank type jerseys even though they knew the rules, and all was supposed to have been laundered.
My dog found the box in the reception area, selectively pulled out the two offenders, and, trying to help, added some ventilation.
Not only doid I not even think about replacing or even apologizing, I charged for my printing!

Ain't nothing like adding heat to a musky shirt and them the heat brings out all the sweat spots and any other stuff they sprayed themselves with ::)

Sorry for the thread drift, but the post made me think of Phoebe from Friends - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7jlGRq8xZ4 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7jlGRq8xZ4)

Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat,
What are they feeding you?
Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat,
It's not your fault

Oh yeah, that's a good one. We tell them they must be washed or not a chance...

I don't accept worn goods..washed or not.  I hate the smell of them going through the oven.
