Title: Hard old emulsion
Post by: noortrd on August 29, 2016, 09:18:40 AM
We have some old hard cci pfxhv emulsion (50% solid) . Is there any emulsifier and reducer to correct this other than water? If we add water its not reduce. How much we wait after adding water.?

Hard, or just a little thicker than when new?
If you can't even stir in the water (sounds like you added it on top and it just sits there) I think that it's a lost cause.

You have a problem with heat where you are, right?

If it is stirrable, it should be able to eventually mix with the water, and indeed thin down.

Whether this particular batch will ever be viable may be another question, but it seems you have little to lose with trying.

As far as I know, you could wait a week.

When in doubt, talk to a tech whenever possible.

Although I echo your sentiment, our friend is in Indonesia and seems to have a little tougher time getting supplies. (and getting them unaffected by traveling in shipping containers that get too hot)

sometimes the hardest part about this business is getting the supplies in the door to even print a shirt.
