I would have never considered it, but have any of you ever gone over the seams with names that won't fit in the panel?
Someone suggested that I do that rather than greatly condensing the name
-
Nope. I would think it would look terrible in addition to the issues with it adhering well over the seam long term.
-
And, true to form, the smallest shirts have the longest names!
-
This can open up a can of worms, but if the name is too long, I just tell them and ask if the player has a smaller nickname. BUT then everyone else might want a nickname. =)
-
Well, it is now a done deal, and the five that would fit with my standard die-cut Pro Block letters are going that way, and others I set, and condensed and will cut (at a slightly higher price)
Looks like I can expect more of these from this particular league this year, and I will just be cutting (and charging) more

Beacause of all of the above is why i hate personalization..

A sentiment apparently shared by whoever does the uniforms for the Giants!

My boss was in negotiation to purchase another company that would have required numbers and name drops on 90 percent of the production. I thank GOD everyday he pulled out. :)

I would never put the names over the seams, that made me cough up a little lunch... go small, or go low, they know they're little...
