Did you leave head 2 open making it a 9/12, as opposed to a 10/12?

I'm very jealous if the i-image!

What is the price savings of leaving the head open?

Around $5k per head (XL size) I think. Could be less for the You M since it's smaller.

if I can suggest leaving the head 3 open. . . Doing it that way you can use the first head for the lint roller, black ink or an additional underbase screen. The head three can become a cooldown station if you really need to move the flash to head 2. It just seems like it would be easier to use it that way.

We have our flash in 3, and about 3 times a year it gets moved to the 2nd slot.

A lot of times when running fast we will leave head 1 open and put our base in 2 to give us an extra chance to skip the platen if we misload a shirt.

Yep this, our head 3 on our 12 color doesn't work - doesn't matter because either a flash unit is there or in head 2 and so 3 would be a cool down where you can't print anyway.
