Wondering what the majority are using for black plastisol. Wanting a good solid black that has good matt down properties and keeps its darkness if that is a word LOL! Thanks Guys!

Begin sarcasm: Print thicker : End sarcasm
What are you using currently?
Mesh count?
Stencil thickness?
Squeegee blade?
Squeegee angle?
Pressure?
Hard flood?
How fast is your print stroke?
Wet on Wet?
Shirt type?
How hot are the platens?
How hot is the ink?
Cure temp and retention time?
What is currently happening to your black ink prints?

This might be a good topic as I'm thinking black ink is black ink just different consistencies from brand to brand, I use some that's very creamy and some that are thick, some like syrup, but all printed nice and black. I've used WM plastic black cream which I like, Union inks blacks, I run across Triangles Batman black which I thought was pretty good, but like I said they all seem to me to print nice and black. Maybe it's what your printing that makes one black ink better than the other halftones, screen mesh, shirt type etc.

Xenon HO Black.

My current black which I will check and let you know the exact product but it is an IC black. At times I believe it is way too thick for a black ink. I am at the end of a 5 gallon bucket and want something that prints easier and keeps the fibers matted down. I normally use 70/90/70 squeeges and 225-150 mesh screens for black. We do still print alot of manual printing as well.

we used to use Wilflex Epic Matte Black... now we're using Synergy Black...
the Synergy runs faster and seems to stay more consistent through the print run, but other than that, they both work great.

With Synergy, I am able to print and hold fine half tones and solid black on the same screen. Previously I would have made two screens for this. Deep, rich black.

Awesome....This is what I'm looking for. I will probably order a gallon before trying a 5'er. Thanks

Epic Matte Black here for a looooong time. Liked the Synergy but it had odd buildup properties for us, at least the bucket we tried did.

Same here. Built up into a sticky bulletproof mess on the back of screens, switched back to epic matte black as well.

Yeah that was a surprise for us too. My dudes had to use the 701 we keep in the squeegee cleaner to get that stuff off, it was thicker than anything we'd seen. My guess was off batch, doesn't seem like the characteristics Joe would put into an ink.

Epic Matte Black here as well.

Synergy Black.
Used to be Wilflex epic matte.

epic matte as well, BUT we may be switching to Triangle Batman black only because our local guy carries it. both work fine. has to have a matte finish no matter what, I really like that.
