Title: Experimenting with liquid silver metallic
Post by: myseps on November 03, 2011, 04:38:01 PM
I'm testing out some new ink samples we got today.  "Liquid silver metallic".
It looks very similar to silver foil.
In this sample I tried putting gel underneath the silver to raise up the ink a bit.

6 colors

No base
1. grey
2. red
3. tan
4. brown
5. gel
6. liquid silver
no black

Who makes the ink?
What if you put the jel ON TOP of th silver to "protect it" from the laundry?

Thanks for any response in advance.

BTW - the art is FANTASTIC - with or without foil or liquid metal - in my humble opinion

Yep, got to agree, that art is really interesting to look at.  Overall it has more of a gold look to it, I guess I'm not seeing so much effect from the liquid silver, but I'm sure in person it's more impressive.

Veni, Vidi, Vici...'I came, I saw, I conquered'...Latin sentence reportedly written by Julius Caesar in 47 BC as a comment on his short war with Pharnaces II of Pontus in the city of Zela.

Nice.
