Title: Cad Cut Transfer over plastisol print??
Post by: im_mcguire on January 24, 2017, 05:29:47 PM
I have a client that owns a Taekwondo facility.  They wanted some gees screened.  I told them that they would be better off with a transfer, or embroidery, due to the fact that this is a multi color design on a black gee, with a white underbase.  I explained, when sparring inks could get damaged, and not look good very quickly.

Customer doesnt want to spend the extra money for embroidery, or transfers.

Ink from gee is now flaking off.

Can you put a transfer over a cured plastisol print, and will it hold?

Nope. It won't adhere properly and you'll see the imperfections from the print as well.

I have never had a issue with gee's. Is it possible you over flashed the base to cause the flaking? Just sayin in case you have to reprint.

This is the only thing I can think.  I printed shirts with the same design, and there is no issue with those...
