Title: Sportsman EXG owners
Post by: Croft on February 03, 2017, 01:09:41 PM
Hi would like to hear from any Sportsman EXG owners, just wondering how you like the press and its speed. We currently have an all air sportsman that we will be replacing.
Were trying to stay under a $100k US because the exchange rate is a killer which sucks because were only a few hours from where there made :p
I also have a couple of questions,
-were a bit tight on space so for the 17' dia. on the 12 col. does that include the support legs?
-would it be too fast for a Radicure 36" belt dryer with the 4th panel? it will probably be a couple of years before a gas one could be bought
-whats maintenance been like ? the air sportsman been rock solid.

Are you asking about the EX or the EXG?  There is a difference

why are you wanting a EXG? You can get a EX 12 color that prints 20X20. I have a EX 10 color and the press is a rock just like all M&R presses. I just got a new sprint dryer because i could out load the Radicure dryer we had. It was a 36" 4 panel.

Go with the EXG it has the Challenger 2 indexer and is faster than the EX model.

TO answer the question on the size; yes the 17" includes the head supports.

Even my 2010 sportsman e with ac heads and servo indexer is capable of moving faster then I can possible load.  It's built like a tank also.  You can't go wrong with an EXG.

Just our sportsman EX can go 80doz an hour. Won't find a guy that wants to load much faster than that all day.

Our guys at most run our G3 at 90doz an hour, but they can't do it all day.
