Title: ISS workshops - Worth it?

Has anyone attended the workshops (not the conferences/seminars) at the ISS shows before? If so, how worth it are they? I'm interested but we would have to take another day off at the shop to attend. So I would want to make sure we'd really be able to get something out of it.

I did them many years ago, and it was always beginner stuff.  Maybe they have changed.
