Title: Checking out Sprint dryer that's not running. Other things to look for?

Hey, I am finally about to jump up to getting a gas dryer. I am going to check out a 2003/4 M&R Sprint dryer tomorrow. The only problem is the dryer is currently not running. It needs a new belt and a new bearing underneath. The owner was going to install the new bearing but got sidetracked with their other business. thats been growing.

I was told about this by my local M&R rep and everything seems to be on the up and up as for as servicing, etc. and the price is pretty good.

I will be getting the serial # tomorrow to check service records. Was curious if there is anything else I should be on the lookout for.

Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I was told if a lot of brown dust (sizing) on outside of the exit they have been running it to hot and to be scareful of them.

Check the burner unit and it's blower motor. That is NOT a fun, or cheap, item to replace. Same thing for the Veriflame safety controller.
