Title: Shop Video, comments wanted
Post by: BorisB on March 18, 2017, 04:24:51 PM
Hi,

we are in process of making new shop video. I'm not too happy about it.... Any comments how to improve it are welcome. We are contract shop, with extremely limited shirts we are allowed to showcase.

Thanks for any input, here it is:

I think it's cool.. All that's missing is a voiceover about your shop and services.. Maybe artroom and customer service shots. But abscent of a voiceover, it will just be an abstract to potential customers..

Good job.....If you can not show more of your client's work, best to do "fake" stuff to better showcase your work.....Most folks (who are not in the industry) will want to see finished products versus equipment.....

Dang, a CST and I-Image!  $200k + in imaging equipment.

What gets used for which purpose?  What are the pros and cons of each?

The CST look super cool but slow.

The CST unit is also inkjet based. We don't have the new Eco LED. This one is 7 years old being replaced by I-Image. I consider selling it, as I-image is 250% faster. Hopefully we need no backup.

I think it's a good promo video for a contract shop- you look big, clean and fast.   Some of the wide pans seemed a little choppy but maybe that was my connection.

I would kill (sometimes I think literally) to have a shop that clean.

Eric I last purchased the clear trans paper from Northwest Graphic Supply.

I think it's looking good. Professional looking shop with a wide range of equipment and capabilities.

The music sounded a bit like holiday music to me.
