Got some Next Level Turquoise 60/40, looking to get a softhand, can I discharge this and get a nice white print?

Likely not. That fabric will discharge in the heathered versions, if the color plays along.
The solids not so much.
This is where HSA shines. Get you some Green Galaxy or CCI and print it just about like
white plastisol and cure it just a little longer than discharge.
Super bright white and super soft hand.

That color may actually do pretty good. I printed a similar color recently with district made and the looked great.

My ratings chart says maybe or B+ so not likely super bright

We just ran some. No you will not get a brite white as they don't discharge well. We ended up shooting an additional screen, bump flashing the d-white and running a second white with epic quick thru a 230. They came out super soft and white. That was a quick fix. next round the set up will be plastisol. base white 200, highlite 200. 70/90/70

Was that straight d-white under the plastisol or thinned out? I thought I heard somewhere that in order for plastisol to be wash-fast on a d-white UB, that the UB had to be based out?

This is the big problem I have right now with using discharge inks, my customers have such a wide range of garments that it is just impossible to use DC on the complete order, I was thinking about WB inks because these Next Level's really need a softhand ink. I looked at One strokes water color inks, but and ask some of you but no one really has solid info on it yet here, so what other ink brand might I look at getting? white ink would be what we would use the most and maybe your basic color red's, royals, black, etc

Yes, The wash fastness comes from a full flash to be safe. unfortunately sometimes that causes scorching. In this case she did run the straight up d- white and for us that's 5% water, 3% Rutland penetrant and 6% ZFS with a sharp 70/90/70. When I said bump flash it was actually 2 flashes side by side with one head inbetween set to not scorch but not cool enough to effect the second doing its job. Under other circumstances a good set up would be 80/20 base/white as the base. I still recommend a full flash if using plastisol on top. different dryers give different results.

I still like the rutland pc's with the CCI d-base and Sericol flous. and the sericol reds are unreal. With the rutland pc's or even the CCI pigment system they now offer your investment is minimal because with 8-10 pigments and base you can mix almost anything and they each offer downloadable formulas for most pms colors. or you could get a gallon of a few RFU colors from someone and a white. For us the rutland white plus is way too stiff even thru higher mesh. We use CCI d-white.
