Are they a good investment? Pros and cons?
-
Thats all we use
-
Only way to go.
-
I have to be the exception, or I'm just using them wrong. I keep going back to ink traps, for me they just work better.

I hate to say it but that was my Bday present. 10 shiny new winged floodbars. They have made my life much easier around here. The ink traps were ok as long as you didn't have your flood stroke come up too far and them hit the inside of the frame, tilt back and you know the rest. >:(
-
I only use them with water base inks. They are a must have. They will really help with the amount of ink it takes to flood and print. You wont need to add nearly as much to the screen. They have really helped our ink loss with the activated colors, Especially on smaller runs
-
gET SOME SPRAY SCYACOLINE AND APPLY TO THE FLOOD BAR, THE INK DOSENT STICK QUIET AS BAD. Ofcourse, let it dry first
-
wouldn't be caught dead without them!
-
Thank you all for the input. I am going to pull the trigger and order a set.
-
Yup, old style floods are useless once you get these...
-
Winged floods all day 8) don't know Brad I still use my old ones ever now and then

Have both , ink traps work a lot better than winged , usually white and large print area get ink traps, other colours winged flood bars
