OK even with our new Hotronix laser guided shuttle that was just plain not fun. Alabama heat made it extra exciting. Did nail the perfect release 100% no fallout though

How does your crew like the shuttle? I was looking at that unit but heard a lot of bad stuff about the fusions.
4500 pcs of foil is an imperial ass load imho.

Bet you wish you had a roq in line foil machine for that 8) 8) 8)....... person loading the press, person catching at the end of the dryer - 550 pcs per hour..... double up the foil machine on the press and you can double that number easily doing 1000+ an hour..... We used to have a program for 40k shirts per order that all got foiled..... Inline foil on the roq was the only way we could do that job

Foil through the dryer=tarnish. Not acceptable but yes.....faster, but not up to quality standards.

I would love to see a side by side of what Danny's customers find acceptable and sell able with what Tony produces. I.e. foil done on a heat press.

Not the case these days. With advancements in raw foil along with techniques my shop and others running roq inline machines are doing the quality standard is accepted to all the top brands out there. Disney, under armour, MGM retail, cirque du soleil, MTV, are just a few that accept it currently. Some factors come into play to make it all work but I've crushed with inline foil here and I know shops like eagle promotions in Vegas are crushing with theirs way more then me. They do so much foil and multi color foil for large casinos/brands that it's ran daily at this point probably. Printing foil then running colors or sim process around it big advantage as I always struggled with foil resist. Other shops oversee are running huge fashion this way as well. Best part for me though is superior wash fastness and crocking. My results have shown the foil lasting 3x longer. Where I saw normal foil looking pretty junky after 5 washes I've done wash tests around 30 wash cycles where the inline still looks decent. My little 3 color machine has an open head and can crush inline foil that if you run a lot of foil a small machine with an inline attachment would pay for itself really quick. Kind of like dts when your inline works correctly there's no going back to a heatpress as the time/people involved make it really meh lol

Danny, Do you happen to have a video doing the in-line foil. ( I would live to see that running in a actual shop/ production environment and share it with my boss). We are very old school here also using crown leaf and a couple heat presses. We are now getting great results but its very slow.

Send me a couple shirts, could even be waste shirts, I'd love to do some wash testing at home with out "we" do our laundry. I know we can never trust our customers to follow instructions on specialty prints, so we always try to prepare for the most harsh washers, like us lol

Yeah I have some videos that I can dig up. If you want send an email to JPaul@ryonet.com as he can get you and whoever else a scheduled visit to my shop or another roq shop doing inline foil for you guys to check out. I will look for some videos though

It is what I have just always used. I have never had a problem with the silver, gold and blue tarnishing but thanks for the post as it might be time to check out the other offerings you guys are using like infinity and Amagic.

I would say it turns matte rather than tarnishes. . .

Not when you do what we do with it....... 8)
The first wash any foil gets it will start to tarnish though....
