Does anyone in the Houston area have a tension meter?
I have one from Stretch Devices and am looking to just do a check between mine and yours on any old screen to see if mine is calibrated closely enough. Not hot to drop a bill (+) to send it off to Stretch Devices if nothing is wrong with it.
TIA

i have 2, but it's been a while since they've been calibrated...so i couldn't say for sure if they'd be correct.
I'm sure this doesn't help!

Well, maybe....maybe not.
Do you use either one of them when you stretch screens? If so, are you satisfied with the results? If so, then that would be close enough for me to use as a double-check.
But if you're not using either one in your production, I'll see if anyone else in Houston posts a reply.

another option would be to send your meter to somebody with a good one. Cost of shipping only in this case. . .

We have a like new Newman meter that we use for demos, you can borrow for a few days and send it back. If you want, send me your info and UPS number to bill the shipping to.

I appreciate the thoughts and the generous offer from CGS but I think I'm good for now.
I just got off the phone with Mike C (Mooseman) and quite possibly the meter is not my real problem I been breaking mesh on the edges of the short roller. While I did some softening, based on the way Mike does his, I may have been way short on the corners.
I'm going to try stretching a couple using Mike's tips and if I can get the meter up past 22 without breaking I'll know that was my issue.
I know, I know..........If Mike's tips work for me, I'll post it here.
