Post by: tonypep on November 09, 2017, 05:04:21 PM
"The History of Screenprinting.......How an Art Form evolved into an Industry" Its big, weighs about 5 lbs and loaded with pictures, patent diagrams, and extremely thoroughly researched. This an uber cool item however I believe publishing was limited

I bought it when it came out since I read some of the early release copy on the gigposters forum. At least I think that's where I found it. I think I ought to take another look. It's been awhile since I read it. While it's not the focus, it also shows bit of design history in it too.

I think that Andy MacDougall was involved and that was the other thing that convinced me to buy it. He has a column at the end of screen printing magazine that I like and he used to be pretty involved in the gigposters forum when I was there.

ZooCity, I just took a look at the WPA section and it is pretty short. It's about five pages and most of it is the artwork. They also cover some of the poster stuff from WWII as well.

I got this for christmas a year or two ago. It is top notch. Reading can get dry, but is very interesting nonetheless. The photos are phenomenal. Always good to know your roots.
