Title: I am amazed at the USPS

Way to go USPS, I shipped 600 t-shirts to Kandihar Afghanistan on Monday and they got there friday of the same week. I can't get stuff two states away that fast.

Didn't it go APO, MPO or FPO? 

I suspect USPS was out of the delivery chain pretty fast. 

Even so, I remember sending stuff to my son when he was in AFG and they didn't get it for 3 weeks.

Yeah it was APO , which I guess means the USPS took it to the local military base and the military mail system actually got it there PDQ. I guess I jumped to conclusion.

Well like I said, even military is a roll of the dice.  I think I was wrong on the AFG deliveries, even though my Marine son had been in both places.  It was probably when he was in Iraq that the shipments took up to 3 weeks.
