Not a place I frequent, but was out of town and had an hour to kill and no place else to go, so we went into Wally World to look around.
There was a pretty cool design on a red t-shirt. It was a graphic of a Santa suit in a huge print on the front of a red t that said "Does this suit make me look Fat?" It caught my eye so I inspected the print...Pure CRAP! It was printed over the top ribbed coller. The ink came off by just lightly rubbing it with my finger. I streatched the garment and it cracked easily. It WASN'T Cured!
Not trying to offend another printer, but it's amazing what you can get away with if you run with the big boys!

Yeah I am amazed at how WMart has changed over the last 15yrs. use to go in the store and there was signs hanging from the ceiling saying for example 400 jobs created in Ft. Smith Ark. so and so shoe factory, or Rebel fishing lures. Not now. They are creating there own brands (Great Value) and i would guess most of there CRAP is made in China. But there not the only one buying screen printing from out of USA

Yeah, most of those companies tried to compete for shelf space with the chinese manufacturers, and they just couldn't.
If it's a good price, people will buy it. Wal-mart only feeds people's desires...cheap.
I saw a shirt like that from a distance and it looked good, I was impressed, but a fat guy was wearing it and I really didn't feel like getting up close and personal to inspect it. Kinda creepy. The other thing I saw there that really stuck with me was a bunch of Micheal Vick falcon's jerseys with pink prints on them. They weren't supposed to be pink....try white. It was terrible....probably the worst dye migration I have ever seen.
I think Tony prints for Wal-Mart. ;D

Wal mart suppliers really are held to a standard. they have QC AUDITORS that pull audits on incoming stock and even field auditors that audit in your shop befor shipping. Remenber they are ordering large orders and we all know sometimes everything isnt ralph lauren quality. Wal mart is selective in choosing their suppliers so apparently those people are doing something right. just sayin.

Guatemala is the biggest place where those come from. It's the price hot spot for the last 3-5 years. Honduras next and then China. My dissapearing walmart bass shirt is gone. I think my wife tossed it. Good thing I got a picture of that Bass or its like they say, it never happened. Lol.

Maybe the "phantom" printing on WalMart crap is in fact "engineered obsolescence" or a clever "time to buy more" reminder?

I wonder if anyone ever looks at the low cost of a Wal Mart tee like this.
Walmart $9.98 Lets say it last 1.5 years (in a perfect world). ($9.98 divided by 18 months = .56cents per month.

JCPenny Licensed product (SouthPole) $12.99
Lets say it last an average of 4 years (in a perfect world). ($12.99 divided by 48 months = .27cents per month.

Not to mention that jcpenny also has tee\s for $5.99 and up, but they are just better managed on quality.
compare that to American eagle Outfitters $18.37

Lets say it last an average of 4 years (in a perfect world). ($18.37 divided by 48 months = .39cents per month.
All comes down to getting what you pay for. Low cost = low life span.

I'd like to see the pic of this "one that got away."

I got my parents stretching prints before they buy them now.
If I buy my kid's shirts from anywhere I'll run down my dryer and then washed before they're worn. So far so good....
