Title: A new site.... need comments and suggestions
Post by: Denis Kolar on December 24, 2011, 01:50:13 AM
Hi all.
I decided to add another web site in addition to my regular site. My regular site www.dkgrafix.com (http://www.dkgrafix.com) is not that focused on screen printing and embroidery as the new one and I think that people will find me a lot easier like this. The new web site is www.strongsvillescreenprinting.com (http://www.strongsvillescreenprinting.com)
Being a newby to screen printing and not having enough good stuff for portfolio, I used 4 Action templates to fill up a few spots for screen printing area of the web site untill I get more presentable work (there it is, I said it, so do not jump on me because you recognized the templates :) )
I'm thinking about changing a few more things, but I wanted to put it live ASAP, and that will be changed in next few weeks.

Comments, concerns, suggestions, critiques, all is welcome........

Thanks

Looks nice. Cool idea to have all your "pages" under each other so you scroll down to get to the next page. I think it looks really good the layouts look full but not over cluttered. Now for the not so good. Make your spacing for the pages the same...small thing. Now for a big thing. You have a one page website. SEO on a one page website can’t be good.. You only get one page to have people find you. I am not sure how bad this is for you. Check your old websites landing pages and see how many people find you on other pages then your home page. I am not a SEO expert but I would like to have more pages to be able to capture clients. Other than that the site looks good. The way the navigation works is cool.

Looks great!   Love it.  Nice samples. Need more of them as you pointed out.

Nice layout, but you have some misspelled words "about apparel sources" first and second paragraphs.

Nice tight site. Not ambling and sprawling with no direction like some others, like mine :(
Does it adjust for different screen resolutions?

Really, thanks.

Fresh, no adjustments for resolution.

Thanks "Dane".

SGear, Thanks, I will try to work around with issues of one page SEO. I think that just Screen Printing in the domain name will help a lot.

Looks real good. Easy to navigate and fast loading.  Like it a lot.  Your limited DK shirt  is out of registration a tad on the black plate.

I like it. The art/printed shirt samples are front and center, the first thing you see. More effective, I think, than sites that have you clicking around to see samples.

To address this, I bought another domain name and I hope that will help. It covers the other spectrum of the business www.strongsvilleembroidery.com (http://www.strongsvilleembroidery.com)  :)
We'll see it it works, if not, I can always make a new one with more pages.

For SEO - specialized landing pages that link back to the main page. These will end up in search engines.

Like, "Looking for screen printed shirts for your church event in Strongsville?", etc etc.

These will add to the searchable content but do not need to be linked to on the main site.

BTW - it looks good. Might need some boobs in there somewhere, but it looks good.
