Title: Heat set letter replacement?
Post by: Dottonedan on August 27, 2019, 06:05:48 PM
Wife did a Vinyl heat set for a team.  Coach or customer provided a team list that had a name that should have a letter K at the end. DIDIK.

Is there a way to remove the X and replace with a K?

First off, you're lucky that the letters are similar width.
They sell a removal liquid that I think is something like methlene chloride, but I usually use spotting liquid.
A little finesse to keep the stuff from spreading to the next letter. Then, also, you may need to wet and rub with a clean cloth to minimize the ghost of the original adhesive.

I thought you might be one to shed some light on it. Thanks.  As it turns out, the wife know of and has that solution already.  I just posted thinking she was not aware of options.
Thanks!
