Title: Parts Washer and 701
Post by: farmboygraphics on September 20, 2019, 12:45:24 PM
Is anyone using a parts washer with full strength 701 (or similar chem)? I'd like to give it a try for (plastisol only) floods and squeegees.

i love 701 for cleaning SQ/FL but not sure of using it in a parts washer. We use ECO-WASH from CCI here. I would call PJ with easi way. He can answer any questions.704.604.9510

We use mineral spirits in the parts washer for cleaning squeegees and flood bars.

We swapped out mineral spirits for EASI-WAY 842 in our washer. Would never go back.

I use the Smart Washer that Hoffman use to have at the shows a few years ago.  It's been the best thing for cleaning squeegees and floodbars that I've used in the last 20 years

We’ve been using 701, 3:1 with water!

I ended up hating that thing.  It took longer to clean everything and then I had to rinse it off or everything was sticky.  And I also got sick of the smell.

I built my own, sits in the corner of my wash out sink.
S/s baking tray that drains into an emulsion bucket with a pump on it.
When the chemicals are old I just put in a bucket with fresh chemicals.
I use Saati IR26 diluted 1/4.     Works well.
