One of the reasons I like my wax CTS. I switched it off for 3 weeks. Came in this week to prepare a few screens, headed it up and got a perfect jet test.
My Epson printers I have to print tests and clean all the time. I'm sure it's the same for pigment based CTS.

This right here is why when we upgrade that is what we are doing. Living in hurricane alley of New Orleans this is great. The main drawback of the ink based systems.

Having dealt with both, wax is the bees knees
Exile, Douthitt, Kiwo, if you go wax you'll never look back, just forward to non consumable as that improves and comes down in cost

Absolutely. I would prefer to pass wax on go on to non consumable at some point

But even with a laser type system you will eventually have to replace the lasers/light source so imo every system out there has a consumable cost.

Good point Danny.

Wax is so nice to use. We have had wax for 8 months and no problems. I have used a I-Image and it was a pain from the start.

I have both. I have an M&R STE and a wax (I-Jet) Each one has pluses and minuses. During busy time we run both machines for throughput reasons. We've been CTS almost 15 years now.
