Here are some vids on me going through some test prints of CMYK with some feedback mostly using International’s Cowlings for CMYK and changing out the Magenta for Wilflex. I learned a good bit here on hoe the different brands affect the overall print. NO tow CMYK sets are the same and you might choose one for this project, and another for a different project. Stuff like that.
This is art that I set up and separated. I also upload dit for the people to use for this friendly challenge competition thing going non at FB Group “The Corona Print Off”. It started around Monday, and will end on Sunday. So if anyone wants to download my sep version or separate it yourself and compare, (or even enter) feel free.

There were some requirement to level the playing field for all.
Use white tee.
55lpi (any of your own specs) for that.
Must be done in True 4 color process only. No clears and no top whites.

Thee darker example was done with switching the Magenta out for Wilflex. But this Wilflex Magenta is about 10 years old maybe.

Dan I think you did a great job on the skin tones, for someone not in the biz that is killer and even for some of us in the biz it's still a killer print. Black people are always the hardest to hit the colors on, because of the tones of our skin, but that looks great, now my question is what brand inks? I was using union cmyk then I started using the triple blend I forget the brand but it gave me a richer print in one nice stroke once the inks started to flow.

THis was mostly done with International Coatings. The Magenta seemed more like a neon hot pink, and didn't work well on the pantone 484 so we switched it out to Wilflex. That was too deep on the photo's so we went back to that bright magenta. it was called Pro Bright Magetna.

Reminds me of something we did together at JNJ although it was sim process with a dc underbase.

That was a great one because we did two ways. One with sim process in 8 colors and another in 4 color process with a discharge base. Looked very similar to each other yet with 3 screens less.

The trick is often is mixing the flesh tones with mixed races and league colors all in on one process.
But we did well my friend on that. If you have a pic post it. I do not.
