Title: Types of mask platens - which ones are people using?
Post by: BRGtshirts on May 14, 2020, 08:20:20 AM
Hey everyone, looked around but didn't see any posts on mask platens.

Wondering if anyone is using these (either the fitted or flat templates)?  I know Action is selling them, and thinking of getting a full set of both .I feel like since so many masks are 2- and 3-ply the hold downs are necessary, unless maybe doing a single color on white.

People thinking it's necessary?

I just offer a 1 color print. 110 screen and 2 strokes and im done. We also did them on our manual. I could do about 100 in 20 minutes. So we could put multiple images on the screen.

I think homer made heat transfers for his.

sorry you were asking about platens.. Our masks are flat so we just used our normal platens and made marking where to lay the mask down.

If yours are pocket id just use a sleeve platen.
