Switching from a M&R Diamondback 10/8 to a ROQ Next 14/10. Needless to say that this is a hell of an upgrade especially in diameter. Have to make some major changes to our tiny layout we have already. Half the darkroom will have to go or I might even consider having no darkroom at all and have the Spyder , the screen drying cabinet the semi auto coater and the exposure unit just lined up at the rear building wall. I`m pretty sure we could manage without a darkroom, all our ceiling lights are LED and windows are not clear glass either. Anyway even if we keep the darkroom but reduce it in size it still would leave me with some tight areas to move around the press. In that case the areas of concern would be by printhead 4, only 23 inches between press and wall and printhead and the printhead at the exact opposite side of the press would leave me only with 14 inches to get through. I could position our second flash in that printhead. I probably can manage with 23 inches at printhead #4. Maybe some of you with tight spaces can give me some advise or feedback.

tight restricted pathways could lead to insurance violations, safety-wise...

14 inches you better not gain weight ;), but yeah I feel you on tight space that is why we got the auto we got it fit the space, could we go bigger maybe if we really had too but dang at all the changes we would have to do. Good luck Rocker!!

Fortunately we don`t have these sort of regulations and terms here. As a matter of fact we have almost no regulations at all. Not even for waste water. Our industry is well unregulated;)

All I can say is we are forced to have out 8/10 up close to a wall at the #5 head. And it sucks! and it is only an 8/10. What it means is the machine is like two machines, if you are on one side and need to go to the other side for something you have to lap around the machine, its a time killer and I could only imagine how much worse it would be on a larger machine.
