We were geared up to purchase the Epson t3270 as our film printer, and add accurip, but accurip is not giving licenses out at the moment for purchase.
They are recommending Printfab rip as a solution. But... Printfab does not support the T3270... so with that said, what film printer should we look into now?

I have yet to have GhostRip and GhostView (open source-free by the way) fail me yet.
Final print is from a .ps file (output to file from Graphic software) that is not dependent on a printer.
Yea, it's no Accurip, but it has worked for my halftones from PS and Corel for years. I don't use Illy.
If that turns out to be an option, give me a holler as there is something not working with the latest versions of open source to download. I'm using a version a few years old and works like a charm on Win 10. If you're on a MAC, keep searching,, lol.

What's going on with Accurip? Any idea? I couldn't find any info. I am using Accurip Ruby with my T3270 and it works great. A little concerned that the permanent license I bought back in April will no longer be valid, esp. if the computer crashes. Hate to have to buy a new version.
I have had zero problems with accurip and the T3270, and tech support has been good when I needed it.

We are running AccuRIP on our T3270 for the last couple of years, with only the rare problem of films with tall images that printed out of register. We were using 14" rolls, so in the end, we opted for wider rolls and printing the tall images horizontally instead of vertically.

I had an older version of accurip and just out of the blue I got a EOL which I found out was end of Life turn that program right off, Screenexpress hooked me up on Ghost rip but I have not got it to work which I think it's all me, all these companies are going to stick it to us with this monthly payment or annual fee crap, so we get to pay forever for a program :o

This is exactly what I think Accurip is up to. Adding some bells and whistle to make it look more attractive with constant updates for a monthly fee.

Like we need something else to piss us off... if that happens, fine, I'm only a couple of years from retiring, so they might as well suck the blood out of me while they can.

steve, you've been couple of years away from retiring last 10 years! Just admit it, screenprinting is in your blood! :)
but on the other hand, if they suck you dry, there will be no blood left. . .

True, but my next birthday is number 69, so I have to be right sooner or later. And you're right, I do love the work, but it sure has changed a lot.
