Post by: ThePrinter on March 23, 2021, 05:02:45 PM
Is there an automatic folder that can fold the different types of safety vests?

We have a ROQ fold that if you send me vests I'd be happy to try to fold them and take video.

As long as they are as heavy as a t-shirt or heavier I think they could fold pretty easily as the ROQ is probably the most configurable folder.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=007wgASVS1k (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=007wgASVS1k) is about like what we have.

Just a heads up though, this equipment is not inexpensive, and something like this https://www.screenprinting.com/products/foldr-automatic-t-shirt-folding-machine (https://www.screenprinting.com/products/foldr-automatic-t-shirt-folding-machine) may work for your needs.

I believe the DEKKEN can be programmed to fold vests. Those are amazing folders

I was super interested in the Dekken because it's smaller form factor and footprint.

However the first stage is folded by air shooting the garments and not a mechanical process, so it doesn't work well for heavyweight garments or heavy sweatshirts which even the ROQ fold struggles with sometimes, but shooting air to fold the sleeves and body ultimately made us not go with Dekken.

I believe the Dekken is a repurposed / reprogrammed towel folder

OK, I thought we were discussing safety vests? The new Dekken we bought for a shop in Vegas worked excellent on fleece, long sleeves and tees. The bagger was trouble free also
