Title: Fast T-jet 2 direct to garment printer.
Post by: royster13 on August 11, 2021, 09:51:03 PM
This is a listing from a local FaceBook Marketplace....If you have some interest, please send me your contact information and I will pass it along....The seller is just down the road from me....

Fast T-jet 2 direct to garment printer.  Comes with bulk ink hookups, two shirt boards, two sleeve boards etc.  This machine was purchased for $22,000 and maybe printed 100 garments.  It had an issue with its motherboard and was shipped back to be serviced.  Motherboard was replaced and it has never been out of its shipping box since.  Essentially brand new machine for a fraction of the price.  It has white ink technology, so can print on black garments as well.   This is a steal of a deal, and must go.  I might consider trades of interesting items if they are priced realistically.   Located in Fruitvale BC and if the ad is up it is still available.

I had an old customer offer us the one she had, I forget the brand, a 30K piece of equipment for 2K. My eyes lit up, until I went to look at it, and thought of all the headaches it was going to cause me, and politely declined.

I think you would have a hard time locating the parts easily, but the only thing bad about this is that you do have to keep the white ink agitated manually and print a sample every day.  Those who didn’t do well with them didn’t do their maintenance. Add to that, it was THE new item on the block and NOBODY knew how to handle a DTG business back then. not too much, but not too little pre treat, Keep it agitated, Print a sample every day, Etc.

BUT, for what it’s worth, I ran mine for two years and had 0 issues. No head clogs, well, back in the day, I did have issues with my phone line on the same wiring that was running my printer and when I got a call, it would stop the printer. DOH!
