Title: Need help with AI file

I have an AI file from a customer that I cannot open correctly. May be because I am still on ancient CS6. I just need it opened, cropped and exported as a .png 300DPI at 12" wide. Can anyone help? I have to send the file email it is large and PW protected.

It’s a good feeling to know we have members here the we can lean on, come to for assistance like this when we need it.  I needed it myself for a file type  and Andy came to my rescue.
