Hey everybody, our part of New Orleans is still without power. Therefore we have been sending out jobs to members on here and other friends. Some screens we already had and have been printing at friends (thanks Gilligan!) but some jobs I have to output film today at one friends then burn at another shop. Regarding film I have not touched it in around 5 years. The shops I will be in humidity will most likely be around 60 / 65 / 70 percent. Screens might be sticky and thinking in advance how to prevent film from sticking. Please remember we are dealing with power coming and going and dehumidifiers and any technology is fleeting at this point. Okay thanks!

I'm up in WI so the humidity isn't too crazy up here. I've heard putting a little baby powder on the screen and rubbing around gently can help prevent the film from sticking.

baby powder, it really works..

Sweet! Thanks its been forever I couldn't remember if it was that or baking soda or something else. Just need our freaking power back on and now another storm coming in from Texas

It does and it DOESN'T...TALC based powder works Corn Starch powder does not.
Corn starch is hygroscopic and will most likely make the situation worse.
Talc powder has become hard to find as it is a mineral that is believed to be a carcinogen.
Just my experience. I get talc powder at my local dollar store where they sell all the junk nobody wants

'light' baby powder works down here in humid Houston too. Just don't go overboard.

I have noticed that even when the film sticks to the screen, the stencil still comes out fine, we just lose the film.
