Title: Windows Users: Don't forget to regularly backup your fonts Folder
Post by: screenxpress on October 08, 2021, 12:59:34 AM
Not sure how often this happens (happened to me recently), but whenever a Main Drive crashes and you have to go through rebuilding everything the one pesky PITA is 'installing' your active/used fonts again and until you do, every time a working image file is opened the software usually lets you know there's a font missing over and over until you get them re-installed.

Assuming you are keeping backups of your graphics files anyway, be sure and include a step to copy the Fonts Folder in Windows on the Main Drive to your standalone backup location.  Takes a matter of seconds and can go a long way to eliminate frustration later.

This entire backup Folder can be easily copied back on a new Windows install to eliminate down time to find and re-install fonts.
