Title: Uline Box Tape??
Post by: farmboygraphics on September 18, 2025, 02:02:06 PM
If you use Uline tape for your boxes white product number do you like?
I don't like the S-423, doesn't hold. Also not a fan of the Natural Rubber Adhesive Tape - Polypropylene
They're offering free shipping on orders over $500 and I'm going to stock up on some supplies.

We don't buy anything from U-line, they are a shipping company that happens to sell business products. Need ONE roll of tape?....Cool, 3.00....oh and that'll be 79.95 shipping, handling is 25.99, probably need a lift gate for the one roll of tape, 200.00 and oop, it's Thursday so that's an extra F U fee of 54.99 anddddd your left testical...... WB Mason, free delivery, or even Amazon, cheapest tape you can find.

We use white boxes, not brown so literally any tape works. We had massive issues with brown boxes and tape, nothing ever stayed stuck for more than 2-3 days...

I have rolls of that here and only use it to tape off reg marks and small boxes. I was using it for boxes, but it does just what Jay said. After a day or two of sitting here waiting for a pick up the tape has come unstuck from the box. Maybe it's something in the NY air. I use a lot of small boxes to mail out coffee orders and I make sure to tape all the way around those.

We ordered White Tape with our logo on it, we use white boxes.

We get our boxes from WB Mason, 1/2 of what line charges per box.

So I've long been interested in kraft tape, but unfortunately we're always packing boxes in various locations,
so it seems like wheeling the machine around would get tedious.

This just brought back a memory, that back around 1986, when I returned to the screen print industry after a stint in engraving and embossing flat stock, it was at a small sports shop in Martinez that also did shirts. We used brown paper kraft tape for boxes as well as sealing screens. Just a simple dispenser with a small water reservoir.

The heated water sounds extra fancy.  We just have about 4 of the machines around where the boxes are made with the water reservoir and refill with distilled water nearby as needed.

The heated water def makes the tape stick faster especialy in a cold shop.
