I ordered some hoodies a week ago from the mill that did not come in. My sales rep discovered that the order have never been placed and he assured me they would be "over night red tagged" yesterday. Guess what? They failed to show. Mmmmmmm'fers put me in a real bind. Had a come to Jesus set to with them over that and got my panties really wadded up. So now I am forced to pull down 7 screens to do the front (3 screens) to finish the 300 pieces. The customer wants what I have by tomorrow morning. I have to set up a 5 color job which is due first thing Monday Morning. Then reset 7 screens, and 3 for the front for the job which should have been done today. All this for 30 missing pieces. GDAMNIT!!!!
I get home tonight and in the mail box is a letter that my health insurance premiums are going up to over 500 bucks a month for a policy that basically does jack Sh!t except barely cover my ass in case of catastrophic illness. GDAMNIT!!!! Anyone got any suggestions on a good (OK there are no good insurance companies) or rather a company that is not hell bent on butt rape premiums?
Thanks for the vent, but I'm still pissed.

Donnie, are you in a group or individual plan?
I am with blue cross, they are great, but you pretty much have to re-shop their rates yearly. But the coverage is good and the premiums aren't too bad.
I had assurant and the product I had from them was beyond awful. I mean the worst EVER. Their other product might be good. I don't know, their sales rep was a liar.
My advice, find an independent rep. They are easier to work with than a rep that works for a single company. They will shop all the companies for you.

I'm on an individual plan. I can't even tell you who my rep is, I think the SOB may be retired on his own private island. As much as I hate to, I will have to make some calls. Thanks for the leads... Keep em coming.

I guess I will stop complaining...Our family's rate went up from C$109.00 to C$116.00 per month on Jan 01 12....
-
donnie, you should look at a group rate through work. I can call and discuss it monday, there are a lot of details, but group plans protect you much better. ind. plans are a rip off

Don't you have to have X amount of employees?

did anybody check the SGIA rates? If they are good, the membership fees might pay off in a month or two.

That's a kick and a half in the pants. It's too bad no suppliers have stepped up with "setup insurance"-- OK, you owe me $200 in screen setup charges since YOU dropped the ball.
The health insurance thing really sucks though... I bet they have one of those really reasonable deductibles if you actually have to use it too, right? :
I'm still putting insurance off till I'm forced to pay money to either insurance companies or the IRS--I think Dave Chapelle had the best idea for universal health care in the US when he suggested fake Canadian ID cards.

I found the SGIA rates to be too high.
In georgia, a group starts at 2, so my wife and I have separate plans. We offer it to the employees, at a 50% match, none have taken us up on it...except my dad, he get's insurance for him and my mom.
A 3 person group is cheaper than a 2 person group here. There are so many stupid rules on it.
